RESOLUTION N0. 75
A RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO THE CENTRAL POINT CITY COUNCIL FOR
ANNEXATION OF CONTIGUOUS PARCELS OF PROPERTY COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS CORNETT
LUMBER COMPANY ON SOUTH FRONT STREET, AND TO WITHDRAW SUCH PROPERTY FROM
JACKSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 3 AND BEAR CREEK VALLEY SANITARY AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Central Point requesting
and consenting to the annexation of the following described parcel of real property
contiguous to the City of Central Point by Roger Cornett, the owner of the land
further described as Jackson County Assessors Map Pages 37 2W 116C, Tax Lot 4500;
37 2W 10AD, Tax Lot 900; 37 2W lOAD, Tax Lot 1000; and 37 2W 116C, Tax Lot 4600; the
total of which contains approximately 26.44 acres, and
WHEREAS, if annexed, said property will be withdrawn from Jackson County Fare
District No. 3 and Bear Creek Valley Sanitary Authority, and
WHEREAS, notices of Public Meeting held August 2, 1983, were published in the
Medford Mail Tribune on July 27, 1983, and July 31, 1983, and posted in four public
places on July 22, 1983, and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1983, a review of the proposed annexation was held
before the Central Point Planning Commission, and opportunity for testimony from pro-
ponents and opponents was provided at said Public Meeting; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CENTRAL POINT PLANNING COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
That the Planning Commission of the City of Central Paint, Oregon, adopts
the application attached hereto as Exhibit A and recommends that the City Council
approve the annexation of property descirbed in the legal description attached hereto
as C.P.-Exhibit C, and the withdrawal of said property from Jackson County Fire Dis-
trict No. 3 and Bear Creek Valley Sanitary Authority.
Passed by the Planning Commission and signed by me in authentication of its
