A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ANNEXATION OF A CONTIGUOUS PARCEL
OF PROPERTY COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE BOES SUBDIVISION ON
LIPTON ROAD, AND TO WITHDRAW 5UCH PROPERTY FROM FIRE
DISTRICT N0. 3 AND BEAR CREEK VALLEY SANITARY AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Central Point requesting
and consenting to the annexation of the following described parcel of real property
contiguous to the City of Central Point, by more than half of the owners of land in
the territory, who also own more than half of the land in the contiguous territory
and of real property therein representing more than half of the assessed value of
all real property in the contiguous territory, and
WHEREAS, the Council has elected pursuant to ORS 222.120 to dispense with an
election in said annexation proceeding, and to withdraw said property, if annexed,
from Jackson County Fire District No. 3 and Bear Creek Valley Sanitary Authority,
and
WHEREAS, notices of a Public Meeting held on April 5, 1983, were published
in the Medford Mail Tribune on March 25, 1983, and April 1, 1983; and posted in
four public places on March 25, 1983, and
WHEREAS, on April 5, 1983, a review of the proposed annexation was held
before the Central Point Planning Commission, and opportunity for testimony from
proponents and opponents was provided at said Public Meeting; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CENTRAL POINT PLANNING COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
That the Planning Commission of the City of Central Point, Oregon, adopts
the Application and Findings of Fact attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and recam-
mends that the city Council approve the annexation of property described in the
1ega1 description on page 40 of Exhibit "A", and the withdrawal of said property
