HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 53 - Authorizing various sales as permitted uses in C-4PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 53 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MEAT, POULTRY, FISH AND SEAFOOD SALES; AND FRUIT AND BEVERAGE STANDS AS PERMITTED USES IN A C-4 ZONE WHEREAS, Municipal Code Sections 17.60.140 and 17.44.020, B. 15 provide that the Planning Commission may rule that a use not specifically named as an allowed use in a district is included in the uses for that district; and WHEREAS, the City of Central Paint received a request to allow meat, poultry, fish and seafood sales; and fruit and beverage stands in the C-4 zone, and WHEREAS, meat, poultry, fish and seafood sales; and fruit and beverage stands are of the same general type and similar to the convenience market, {17.44.020, B. l.) use of the C-4 zone because both uses sell similar pro- ducts; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED 8Y THE CENTRAL POINT PLANNING COMMISSION as follows: Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that meat, poultry, fish and seafood sales and fruit and beverage stands are uses not specifically named in the examples of allowed uses in the C-4 zone district and finds further that meat, paultry, fish and seafood sales; and fruit and beverage stands are of the same general type and are similar uses and are compatible with the convenience market use within the C-4 zone district. Section 2. Meat, poultry, fish and seafood sales; and fruit and beverage stands are hereby ruled to be Permitted Uses in the C-4 Commercial zones, Section 17.44.020, B. of Central Point Municipal Code.
