PARTIES
City of Central Point, hereinafter called "City"
Teamsters Local No. 223 (Police), hereinafter called "Union"
RECITALS
A. City and Teamsters are parties to a Labor Agreement representing Police Department
employees for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016.
B. Union has proposed that the job title of Master Police Officer be replaced with Corporal.
C. The parties have negotiated a settlement and desire to reduce their agreement in writing.
AGREEMENT
For and in consideration of the promises and obligations on the part of each party to be performed,
the parties agree as follows:
A. The foregoing recitals are contractual and by their reference are incorporated herein as if
set out in full.
B. Effective July 1, 2015, Section 1.2 Baroainina Unit Classifications shall be modified to read
as follows:
The bargaining unit covers the classifications of Corporal, Police Officer, Community
Services Officer, and Police Support Specialist.
C. Effective July 1, 2015, Section 9.3.2 Shift Biddina shall be modified to read as follows:
Shift selection shall be by job classification seniority with each Police Officer and Corporal
having to bid/work at least one day shift and one night shift per year. Day shift shall refer
to a work shift that begins between 3:01 am and 3:30 pm and night shift shall refer to a
work shift that begins between 3:01 pm and 3:00 am. Except as provided for in Section
8.3, probationary police employees may be assigned work shifts, work schedules, starting
times and days off at the discretion of the City. To the extent possible, shift bidding will
occur in the month of November for three (3) four-month rotations during the following
calendar year.
D. Effective July 1, 2015, Section 14.4 Field Trainina Officer shall be modified to read as
follows:
Police officers, including those assigned to Detective or School Resource Officer,expressly
assigned by the city as a Field Training Officer shall receive an additional five percent(5%)

on their pay rate for all hours actually served in the full capacity as a Field Training Officer.
FTO assignment pay shall not be granted for less than 30 minute intervals. In no event
shall an employee receive FTO pay during any period in which no trainee is assigned to that
officer, nor shall more than one officer receive FTO pay for training the same trainee at any
given time. It is understood that the Field Training Officer responsibility is incorporated
within the job duties of Corporal and, therefore, this Section does not apply to Corporals.
E. Effective July 1, 2015, Section 14.5.1 Officer in Charae shall be modified to read as follows:
For every hour or portion thereof, but in not less than quarter-hour segments,when a police
officer serves in the capacity of Officer in Charge in the absence of the duty Lieutenant or
Corporal, and with the express authorization of the Chief of Police, Captain, or authorized
designee thereof, the officer shall receive five percent (5%) additional compensation on
their pay rate for such time as s/he actually serves as the Officer in Charge. The pay rate
shall be calculated as follows: the(acting)officer's hourly base pay according to the current
pay scale, plus any incentive pay, plus any assignment pay multipliers, multiplied by five
percent (5%). This section does not apply to Corporals.
F. Effective July 1, 2015, Appendix A Police Baraainina Unit Pay Schedule shall be modified
to replace the job classification of"Master Police Officer" with "Corporal."
In executing this Agreement, the parties acknowledge that:
1. they have had an opportunity to review and receive advice on the terms of this
Agreement
2. they are entering into this Agreement voluntarily and with full knowledge of the facts
for the purpose of making as full, final and complete settlement.
