PLANNING COMMISSION 1ZESO1,iTTION NO. 177 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS AND CONCLi3SI:ONS AND RECOMMENDING AP}?ROVAL OF THE PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR PfiASE ]:I I. OF STONECREEK NO. 3 SlTI3DIV:l:SION WHEREAS, Gary T. Whittle and John A. Duke, st~bdivitiers and deve.l.ogers, have applied for approval of the preliminary plat for Phase III of Stnnecreek No. 3, a subdivision generally located an Daniel Street between Glenn Way and Timothy Street in the southwestern quadrant of the City, mare particularly described as Jackson County Tax Assessor's map page 372W 10DB Tax Lot 100; and, WHEREAS, a notice of public meeting was appropriately pasted at the the Central Point Public Library, Central Paint Post Office, Central Point Fire Sta- tiara, and the Central Point Czty Hall; and, WHEREAS, at a regular meeting on December 5, 7989 a review of the prelim- inary plat was held before the Central Point Planning Commission where npportunz-~ ty for testimony from proponents and opponents was provided; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED ~3~' THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS: follows: Section 1. The relevant criteria applicable to said application is as (a} The Comprehensive Plan designates the site as low-density residen- tial; (b) The Zoning Ordinance designates the site as R-1; (c) Central Point Municipal Code Chapter 16.24 describes the infor- mation the Planning Commission must review in order to consider approval of a preliminary subdivision plat. Section 2. The Planning Commission hereby finds as follows. The proposal meets the City's housing goal as described in the Comprehensive Plan because: (a) It ensures that adequate housing will be provided in the City of Central Paint far persons regardless of age, family status, income level, race, ethnic background, sex, or religious affiliation. (b) It ensures that a variety of housing will be provided in the City in terms of location, type, price and tenure, according to the projected needs of the population. (c) It promotes the open and free choice of housing fox all persons wishing to reside in Central Point. RESOLU'T'ION NO. 177 - 1 PRELPLAT.89/PCRES Seetinn 3.
