AN ORDINANCE INITIATING THE STREET VACATION PROCEEDINGS FOR
REAL PROPERTY THEREIN DESCRIBED, SETTING A TIME AND DATE FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON THE QUESTION OF SAID VACATION,
AND PROVIDING FOR THE GIVING OF NOTICE AS REQUIRED BY ORS
CHAPTER 271.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to ORS 271.130, the City Council of the
City of Central Point does hereby initiate vacation proceedings for
that certain public street and alley lying between Lots 4, 5, 6, 7
and 8, and Lot 3, Block 15, Original Town, City of Central Point,
Oregon. No part of Pine Street, Oak Street, First Street, or Front
Street is included in the area to be vacated.
SECTION 2. A public hearing on the question of such vacation
shall be held on January 4, 1966, before the City Council of the City
of Central Point, City Council Chambers, Central Point City Hall, at
the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., and all persons are invited to appear
at said time and place to then and there be heard on the question of
said vacation.
SECTION 3. The City Recorder of the City of Central Point shall
give notice of said hearing by forthwith posting written notices of
said hearing in three of the most public places in the City of Central
Point, and said City Recorder shall forthwith cause a copy of said
notice to be posted at or near each end of the proposed vacation. All
of said notices shall be posted not less than twenty-eight (28) days
before said hearing.
Passed by the common Council and signed by me in open session in
authentication of its passage this 7 6Wday of December, 1965.
