Only parts of it. He had talked to some of the people and some of
the questions were on qualifications of elected officials, being a
resident, Mayor's veto, and keeping of a journal.
Mayor Bartley said the people could have come to the Council meeting
when a Public Hearing was held and they would have been glad to
answer all of the questions. ,

Attorney Mansfield informed the council that he recommended civil
and criminal proceedures. They have no other alternative, regardless
of the feeling they have for anyone involved.
Discussion on whether the funds were-city or the Volunteer Fire -
Departmeat's. Since the city pays the Volunteer Firemen each month,
and the money goes into their own account to be spent as they wish,
the Department felt it was their own money and should be investigated
by them.
Mayor Bartley requested the councilmen to meet with the Fire Department
and get more information. Then at the next meeting of the council,
they can make a decision.
