Roll call found: Ayres.; Hill, Holbrook, Tucker, Tonneand~ Mushaney, present. Absent: none. Also present: Mason A letter. from N.A. Mead was read. This letter ,requested that the.,. City of Central Point formally accept the Improvement in ,West Pine.. Villa Suject to the conditions mentioned in Mr. Clifford B. Shaw~s letter to the. City dated September 12, 19b7. Letter from Mr._Shaw was read. Motion by Mushaney, second by Ayres that improvements in West Pine Villa be accepted subject to Mr. Shaw~s letter. All in ' favor, Motion carried. Fire Codes from the Bureau of rlunicipal Research were turned over to Chairman Tucker of the Fire Committee. - Paving costs on Haskell Street were discussed. No action necessary. ~ _~ Bids for. new tractor were opened. Naumes Equip. & Fuel Co. Wall Ford Tractor and Imp. Co. Central`Equipment Co. Hubbard-~°dray Co., Inc. International Harvester Prices quoted as follows: Diesel $4,735.00 4,509.00 4,900.00 5,115.00 4, °69.00 Gas $4,185.00 4,257.00 4,500.00 4,830.00 4,378.00 Motion by Holbrook, second hIushaney. that the' bids be tabled and turned over to the Administrative Committee and the Public Works Department for study, Administrative Committee to have authority. to purchase without further council action. All in favor. Notion carried, A request from School District b was discussed. Their request'"{was.~~, for the City Council to deputize a person as a. School Off ic.er'.:for,the purpose of policing the School area, as a truant officer and other items pertaining to the School only. Lenghty discussion. City Recorder instructed. to discuss this with District Attorney and-City Attorney. Mr. Don Faber came before the Council to complain about street. corssings on Maple Street. Mr. Mason explained that the Engineer and Contractor had .both: been contacted regarding the situation on-Maple Street and everything would be done to alleviate the conditions. A letter from Engineer Wilbur L. Warren to Myron Corcoran regarding improvements in Central Valley Subdivision, recently completed, was read.. Discussion. No action necessary. Administrative Committee to meet with City Administrator Mason, Monday, September 25, 1967, 730 p.m. at City Hall to award bid on tractor and to discuss several administrative problems.
