AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
TO INCLUDE THE BEAR CREEK GREENWAY ZONE AS A
ZONE CLASSIFICATION AND TO AMEND PERMITTED
USES WITHIN SAID ZONE
WHEREAS, the City Council on the 16th day of August, 1990,
by resolution declared its intent to amend the zoning ordinance
to include the Bear Creek Greenway Zone as a classification and
to amend the conditional uses allowed in said zone, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on the 4th day of
September, 1990 recommended approval of the proposed amendments
to the zoning ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City Council on the 20th day of September, 1990
held a public hearing thereon and finds and determines that the
proposed amendments to the text of the zoning ordinance are
necessary and appropriate, now, therefore,
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 17.12.020 of the Central Point Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.12.020 Zones - Classification. For the purposes of this
title, the following zones are established by the city:
Abbreviation District
R-L Residential low-density
R-1 Residential single family
R-2 Residential two family
R-3 Residential multiple family
C-1 Neighborhood convenience shopping
C-2 Commercial-professional
C-3 Downtown business district
C-4 Tourist and office-professional
C-5 Thoroughfare commercial
M-1 Industrial
M-2 Industrial general
B.C.G. Bear Creek Greenway
Section 2. Section 17.54.030 of the Central Point Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.54.030 Conditional Uses. The following uses are permitted in
the B.C.G. district when authorized in accordance with Chapter
ORDINANCE NO. 1643 - 1

17.76:
A. Privately developed or operated recreational or stream-
oriented facilities or activities that the planning commission
may find to be compatible with the purpose of this section and
consistent with the city's comprehensive plan and the Bear Creek
greenway plan;
B. Public or municipally owned facilities or utilities that
the planning commission determines to be compatible with the
purpose of this section and with area plans;
C. Agricultural uses, excluding livestock unless the same
are maintained as part of an animal husbandry program for
educational purposes by a public school;
D. Mining or aggregate removal.
