AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING PUBLIC
WORKS REVIEW FEES
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS I~'OLLOWS:
Chapter 15.40 of the Central Point Municipal Code is amended
to read as follows:
UNIFORM STANDARDS FOR PUBLIC WORKS
CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AND FEES
15.40.010 Established
15,40.020 Change - Director's Authority
15.40.030 Change - Effective Date
15.40.040 Fees Charged
15.40.010 Established. There is established for the City a
compilation of standards titled "Uniform Standard Details and
Specifications for Public Works Construction" hereinafter
referred to as Public Works Standards, which compilation shall be
kept for public inspection and distribution in the office of the
Public Works Director, and which shall apply to all Public Works
Construction/Improvements in the City.
15.40.020 Change -- Director's Authority. The Public Works
Director is authorized and directed to develop such standards,
and to make such changes therein as deemed appropriate and
necessary. Such standards shall become effective when, upon
recommendation by the Public Works Director to the City Council,
they have by minute action been approved by the City Council,
whereupon the Public Works Director shall note the date of
Council approval thereon and place the same in the Public Works
Standards. Said standards shall, whenever possible, conform to
such standards in effect for state and other local agencies.
15.40.030 Change -- Effective Date. Any changes made in said
Public Works Standards shall not be applicable to projects for
which a permit was issued prior to the effective date of said
changes.
15.40.040 Fees Charged. A fee shall be charged for all public
works construction projects requiring review including, but not
exclusively limited to, water, sanitary sewer, storm drains,
street improvements, curbs, streetlights, traffic control devices
within the right-of-way or easement of the City, and for any
project which will become City owned or maintained after

completion of said project. Such fees shall not be charged for
sidewalks or driveways, work performed by any public utility
franchisee, work performed within an approved subdivision for
which subdivision fees have been charged, or jobs performed by
the City or on behalf of the City by contractors.
These fees will offset the cost to the City for its participation
in approving such projects for acceptance by the City and are as
follows:

0 - $25,000 .OS x Total Cost of construction of
project required to be permitted under
this Title
Greater than $25,000 Shall be billed to the permittee for
all cost incurred by the City.
Permittee shall pay charges due within
10 days of receipt of billing.
Passed by the Council and signed by me in authentication of
its passage this 16th day of February 1989.
