A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION
OF 1..17 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF HAMRICK ROAD,
AND NORTH OF NEW HAVEN DRIVE INTO
THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Application has been made by the owners of certain real property for annexation
into the City of Central Point, Oregon.. The property consists of one tax lot consisting of a total of
1.17 acres. The property to be annexed is more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the 5/e inch iron pin marking the most westly corner
of Lot 15 of New Haven Estates, Phase I, as recorded in Volume 24,
Page 39 of the Plat Records of Jackson County, Oregon, located in
Section 1 of Township 37 South, Range 2 West of the Willamette
Meridian, said County, said pin also being the most northerly
corner of that tract of land described in Instrument No. 98-04412
of the Official Records of said County; thence, along said Phase I
boundary, South 34°51°49" West 212.40 feet to a 5I8 iron pan
ma,rging the most. westerly corner of said tract, said pin also
being the most southerly corner of Lot 12 of said Phase I; thence,
along said Phase I boundary extended, South 61°02'53^ East 203.82
feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin on the westerly line of Central Point
Market Road as described in Volume 313, Page 395 of the Deed
Records of said County, said pin being the most southerly corner
of said tract; thence, leaving said westerly line and continuing
South 61°02'53" East a distance of 30.48 feet to a point on the
centerline of said Central Point Market Road; thence, along said
centerline, North 39°08'24" East 184.53 feet; thence, continuing
along said centerline, along the arc of a curve to the right
having a radius of 573.00 feet, a central angle of 2°51'01", an
arc length of 28.51 feet (the long chord of which bears North
40°33°5470 East 28.50 feet); thence, leaving said centerline, North
60°39'10" East 31.16 feat to a 5/8 inch iron pin on said westerly
line, said pin being the most easterly corner of said tract and
the most southerly corner of said Lot 15; thence, leaving said
westerly line, continuing North 60°39°10'7 West a distance of
219.65 feet, along said Lot 15 boundary, to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
The above -described properly is not within the City of Central Point's Current corporate
boundaries, but is contiguous to the City's existing corporate boundary and is within the Central
Point Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
Section 2. The owner of the property proposed for annexation is Glenn Ivan Higinbotharn
Jr., and there is mutual consent to the annexation. Such written consent is on file at Central Point
City Hall, 155 South Second Street, Central Point, Oregon.
Section 3.ORS 222..125 provides that when all of the owners of land. in the territory proposed
for annexation and not less than 50% of the electors residing in such territory have consented in
writing to the annexation of the land in the territory and file such written consent with the City
Council, the property maybe annexed without the requirement for an election or a public hearing.
Section 4. Annexation of the described property is consistent with the City's ability to
provide facilities and services to the real property, as required by the City's Comprehensive Plan.
Section 5. Pursuant to ORS 222.125, the property described in Section 1 above, shall be and
hereby is, annexed to and made part of the City of Central Point, Oregon.
Section 6. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall transmit a copy of this resolution
to the Oregon Secretary of State, and this annexation shall be effective when filed with the Oregon
Secretary of State pursuant to ORS. 222..180.
