A RESOLUTION AMENDING VARIOUS BUILDING
PERMIT FEE SCHEDULES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. The City of Central Point Building Department Fee Schedule, is hereby
amended as shown on Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein, and shall be effective July 1, 2001. The
City of Central Point Building Department Building Valuation Data is
hereby amended as shown on Exhibit "B", which is attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein, and shall be effective July 1, 2001.
Said Building Valuation Data shall be based on the most current Building
Valuation Data as referenced by Building Standards Magazine, published
by the International Conference of Building Officials on an annual basis
usually in April of each year.
Section 2. T11e City of Central Point Electrical Permit Fees Schedule is hereby
amended as shown on Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein. Said amended fee schedule shall be
effective on July 1, 2001.
Section 3. The City of Central Point Manufactured Dwelling Permit Fee Schedule is
hereby amended as shown on Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein, and shall be effective July 1, 2001.
Section 4. The City of Central Point Plumbing Permit Fee Schedule is hereby
amended as shown on Exhibit "E", which is attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein, and shall be effective July 1, 2001.

incorporated herein, and shall be effective July 1, 2001..

Effective July 1, 2001
Fees for plan review and permits issued by the City of Central Point for
construction, alteration and repair of buildings and other structures shall be determined
using the most current TCBO Building Valuation Table, for "good construction", and
using the Oregon modifier, or applicants estimate of value, whichever is greater.
The valuation shall then be applied to the fee schedule below to determine the
permit fee. The plan review fee shall be sixty five percent (65%) of the permit fee.. The
fire, life, safety plan review fee (when required) shall be forty five percent (45%) of the
permit fee.

At the request of numerous building officials, Building Standards"' offers the following building valuation data representing average costs for
most buildings. Because residential buildings are the most common for many cities, two general classes are considered for these, one for "average"
construction and the other for "good." Adjustments should be made for special architectural or structural features and theTication of the project.
Nigher or lower unit costs may often result.
The unit costs are intended to comply with the definition of "valuation" in Section 223 of the. 1997 Uniform Building Code"" and
thus include architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work, except as specifically listed below. The unit costs also include
the contractor's profit, which should not be omitted.
The determination of plan check fees for projects reviewed by the International Conference of Building Officials will. be based on valuation
enmouted from these fires. which. were established in April 2001..

The following modifiers are recommended for use in conjunction with. the building valuation data. Additionally, certain local conditions may require further
modifications. To use these modifiers, merely multiply the listed cost per square foot by the appropriate regional modifier. For example, to adjust the cast of a
Type III One-hour hotel building of average. conswction for the Iowa area, select Regional Modifier 0.80 and unft cost from valuation data, $85.80:
