HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Resolution 572RESOLUTION NO. 572 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL FOR AN ALLEY VACATION BETWEEN SOUTH FIRST AND SOUTH FRONT STREETS AND PARALLEL TO ASH AND CEDAR STREETS WHEREAS, applicant Jim Hudson. representing Grange Cooperative Supply Association, Inc., has requested vacation of the alley which runs east and west between South First Street and South Front Street adjacent to Tax Lots 7100 and 7400 of Jackson County Tax Assessor's. Map Page 37 2W 11BB, and, WHEREAS, said vacation is necessary to facilitate a planned expansion of the Grange Co-op retail facility, and, WHEREAS, Grange Cooperative Supply Association, Inc., paid a non-refundable application fee of $325.00 and has agreed to pay, in addition to said fee, all. costs incurred by the City in connection with processing the application for vacation, and, WHEREAS, pursuant to ORS 271.130, the City Council has elected to initiate the vacation request upon its own motion, and WHEREAS, a public hearing to receive testimony from proponents as well as opponents to an alley vacation. is necessary to comply with Chapter 271 of the Oregon Revised Statues, now, therefore, BE,IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Central Point hereby sets a public hearing for November 15, 1990 at approximately 7:00 p.m. as the time to consider the vacation of the alley between South First and South Front Streets and parallel to Ash and Cedar Streets.
