RESOLUTION NO. ~~
= A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF A
17.5-ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED NEAR THE
-. JUNCTURE OF WEST VILAS ROAD AND HAMRICK ROAD
INTO THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL
POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Application has been made by the owners of
certain real property for annexation into the City of Central
Point., Oregon. The property consists of two parcels located on
the north side of West Vilas Road at its juncture with Hamrick
Road. The tax assessor's map descriptions are Township 36 South,
Range 2 West, Section 36C, Tax Lot 2501, consisting of 7.6 acres,
and Tax Lot 2600," consisting of 9.98 acres. The total acreage is
17.5 acres. The properties are more particularly described as
follows:
Assessor's Map No. 362W36 TL 2600, 2501
Beginning at the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of
the southwest quarter. of Section 36, Township 36 South, Range
2 West of the Willamette Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon,
also. being the southeast corner of the' .parce•1 described . in
Instrument No. 93-33499 of the Official:Reeords of said
County; thence North 89°47'33" West, along: the south line of
said southwest quarter, 700.00 to the~•southwest corner of
said parcel; thence North 0°07'58" West; ~72,~feet to the
northwest corner of said parcel; thence•South 89°47'33" East
700.00 feet to the northeast corner o£~~saic~..parcel; thence
North 0°07'58" West, along the west line of•'the tract
described in Instrument No. 93-18136 of: said~Records, 847.67
feet to the northeast corner of said c~uarter'~quarter; thence
South 89°5050" East 332.93 feet to the northeast corner of
the tract thence South 0°08'41" East,, alone the east .line
of said tract, 1319.68 feet; thence North 8.9 47'33" West,
along the south line of said quarter 33.3.21 .feet to the Point
of Beginning. •.

The above-described property is not within the City of
Central Point's current corporate boundaries, but is contiguous
to the City's existing corporate boundary and is within the
Central Point Urgan Growth Boundary.

"`jSection 2. The owners of the property proposed for
annexation are Floriene Higinbotham and Ruby LaFon. Both :owners
' have 'submitted written consents to the annexation. A majority of
'the_electors`residing within the above-described property have
also consented in writing to the annexation.
~~ `Section 3. Annexation of the described property is
consistent with the City's ability to provide facilities and
.services to the real :property, as required'by the City's
Comprehensive Plan.
~ Section 4. Pursuant to ORS 222.125, ..the property described
.,. iniSection l above, shall be and hereby is, annexed to and made a
part of the City of Central Point, Oregon.
f .Section 5. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall
