A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION
OF 9.35 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF HAMRICK ROAD,
NORTH OF EAST PINE STREET AND SOUTH OF BEEBE ROAD INTO
THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Application has been made by the owners of certain real property for annexation
into the City of Central Point, Oregon. The property consists of three tax lots consisting of a total
of 9.35 acres. The property to be annexed is more particulazly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Donation Land Claim No. 55'
in Township 37 South, Range 2 West of the Willamette Meridian,
Jackson County, Dragon; thence North 0°10'20" West, along the
east line of said Claim, 482.24 feet to the existing boundary of
the City of Central Point, Oregon and the POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence South 89°36'54" West, along said boundary, 45.66 feet to
the west right of way line of Hamrick Road; thence North
0°13'12" West, along said right of way and boundary, 38.00 feet;
thence North 3°35'34" East, along said right of way and
boundary, 150.33 feet; thence North 0°15'50" West, along said
right of way and boundary, 141.11 £eet; thence leaving said
right of way and beundary, North 89°46'00" East, 35.x1 feet to
the center line of said Road; thence North 0°14'00" West, along
said center line, 257.31 feet to a point being on the westerly
extension of the City of Central Point Boundary; thence North
89°36'53" East, along said extension and existing City of
Central Point Boundary and the north line of the parcel of land
described in Instrument No. 00-37220 of the Official Records of
said County and State, 733.83 feet; thence South 0°10'20" East,
along the east line of said parcel and the east line of the
tract described in Instrument No. 99-63608 of said ReCOrds,
586.30 faet; thence South 89°36'54" West, along the south line
of said tract and its extension, 732.62 .feet to the POINT OF
BEGSNNING.
The above -described property is not within the City of Central Point's Current corporate
boundaries, but is contiguous to the City's existing corporate boundary and is within the Central
Point Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
Section 2. The owners of the property proposed for annexation are Cartee & Naomi Wood;
Gayle Burne; Judy Bamforth; Gordon & Erma Layton, and there is mutual consent to the annexation.
Such written consent is on file at Central Point City Hall, I55 South Second Street, Central Point,
Oregon.
Section 3.ORS 222.125 provides that when all of the owners of land in the territory proposed
for annexation and not less than 50% of the electors residing in such territory have consented in
writing to the annexation of the land in the territory and file such written consent with the City
Council, the property maybe annexed without the requirement for an election or a public hearing.
Section 4. Annexation of the described property is consistent with the City's ability to
provide facilities and services to the real property, as required by the City's Comprehensive Plan.
Section 5. Pursuant to ORS 222.125, the property described in Section 1 above, shall be and
hereby is, annexed to and made part of the City of Central Point, Oregon.
Section 6. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall transmit a copy of this resolution
to the Oregon Secretary of State, and this annexation shall be effective when filed with the Oregon
Secretary of State pursuant to ORS. 222.180.
