A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR NLY 1,
1996 TO TUNE 30; 1997
WHEREAS, ORS 294.450 (1) authorizes the transfer of appropriations within a given
fund,. and the resolution adopting the budget detailed appropriations by department expenditures
and such expenditures for the year must be within limits set for each department.
WHEREAS, the city has incurred over-expenditures for several departments as
determined by the 1996-1997 Annual Audit.
WHEREAS, ORS 294.480 (lc) authorizes a supplemental budget in certain cases; no
increased tax levy to be made where funds were made available by another unit of federal, state
or local government and the availability of such funds could not have been ascertained at the
time of the preparation of the budget.
WHEREAS, the city has since the budget prepazation discovered that state funding of the
911 system,. paid directly to the City of Medford needs to be recorded in the City of Central
Point's budget as a pass through of funds.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, for purposes of the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), the
following budget adjustments shall be made:
1) Transfer $50,000 in the Utility Fund (03), Water Department, from Materials and
Services to Personal Services.
2) Transfer $1,000 in the General Fund (O1), Pazks Department, from Materials and
Services to Personal Services.
3) Transfer $15,000 in the General Fund (Ol), Non-Operating Departmental, from
Personal Services to Materials and Services.
4) Create the Telephone Excise Tax Fund and with line item Intergovernmental
Revenues in the Revenue section in the budget in the amount of $33,000.
5) In the Telephone Excise Tax Fund add the line item: Professional & Contractual
Services in the Material and Services section in the budget in the amount of $33,000.
