A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN FUNDS FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1997-98
RECTTALS
1. ORS 294.450 (1) Authorizes transfers of appropriations within a given fund
when. authorized by official resolution of the City Council, providing that said resolution states
the need for the transfer, the purpose for the authorized expenditure; and the amount of the
appropriation transferred.
Now, therefore,
BE TT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON; AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. $12,500 shall be transferred. from the General Fund Police Department,
Capital Outlay, to the General Fund Police Department, Materials & Services. Reasons for the
transfer follows:
1. $25,000 was budgeted for a new police vehicle and associated equipment.
2. The Federal Government, through the DRMO program, provided the Central
Point Police Department with eight (8) used vehicles.
3. The vehicles replaced older units and also negated the need for the purchase of a
new vehicle.
4. Cost of obtaining, equipping. and preparing the units is estimated to be $12,500
