A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY COUNCIL'S INTENT TO AMEND
THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
AND COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Pursuant to CPMC Chapter 17.96, the City Council hereby declazes its intention to
amend the City of Central Point Comprehensive Plan and the Comprehensive Plan Map in order
to redistribute certain land uses within the Urban Growth Boundary, modify the Urban. Boundary
and Policy Agreement with 7ackson County, provide for the most efficient and beneficial
development of land uses within the Urban Growth Boundazy, facilitate the extension of needed
public services and infrastructure within the Urban Growth Boundary, and protect the public
health, safety and welfare.
Passed by the Council and signed by me in authentication of its passage this /a~day of

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TEXT AND MAP
Text Amendments
1. Amend the Comprehensive Plan text to reflect the proposed redistribution of land uses.
This includes, but is not limited to, changes to the following elements of the
Comprehensive Plan: Planning Area Characteristics, Urbanization, Plan Summazq,
Environmental Management, Economics, Crculation/Transportation, and Land Use.
2. Amend the Urban Growth Boundary and Policy Agreement with Jackson County to
modify the criteria far urban development of the Bear Creek Corporation properties
identified on Map 2 of the agreement.
Map Changes
1. :Change the land use designation and zoning of Area 1 on the attached map from General
Industrial and Industrial to Low Density Residential and High Density Residential.
2. Change the land use designation and zoning of Area 2 on the attached map from
Industrial to High Density Residential.
3. Change the land use designation and zoning of Area 3 on the attached map from Medium
Density Residential, Low Density Residential and Public Pazks/Open Space to General
Industrial.
4. Change the land use designation and zoning of Area 4 on the attached map from Low
Density Residential and High Density Residential to Industrial and General Commercial.
