HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Resolution 682RESOLUTION NO. 6$2 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY COUNCIL`S INTENTION TO AMEND SECTION 17.46.020 OF THE CENTRAL POINT MUNICIPAL CODE Recitals 1. The City Council desires to make two changes to Section 17.46.020 of the Central Point Municipal Code, adding furniture sales and sporting goods sales to the list of permitted uses in the C-5 zone, and voted at its February 17, 1994 meeting to commence the grocess. 2. Central Point Municipal Code Section 17.86.020 provides that amendments to Title 17 may be initiated. by a resolution of the City Council, declaring its intention to do so. Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCLL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWSt Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council to amend Section 17.46.020 of the Central Point Municipal Code, so as to add furniture sales and sporting goods sales to the list of permitted uses in the C-5 zone. Section 2. The Planning Commission as required by CPMC 1.24.020C, shall review the proposed amendment at its March 1, 1994 meeting, and thereafter make recommendations on the amendment to the City Council. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall cause notice of such Planning Commission meeting to be given by posting the meeting agenda in four public places in the City in the week prior to the meeting. Section 3. A public hearing shall be held before the City Council on March 17, 1994, to consider the proposed amendment. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall cause notice of such public hearing to be given by advertising the same in the Mail Tribune at least twice prior to such hearing, and by posting notice thereof in four public places in the City during the week prior to the date of the hearing.
