A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE BEFORE THE
CITY COUNCIL FOR VACATION ALLEYS LOCATED IN A SUBDIVISION
KNOWN AS AMY AND HARBAUGH'S ADDITION
WHEREAS, applicant Steve Rietmann, has requested vacation of
certain alleys which are located in the Amy and Harbaugh's
Addition, a subdivision which was established in 1889 and which is
illustrated along with the proposed alley vacations on Exhibit A
of this document, and,
WHEREAS, said applicant deems the vacation necessary to
facilitate a planned development and continued development of the
Quality Fence Project, and,
WHEREAS, Steve Rietmann, paid a non-refundable application fee
of $325.00 and has agreed to pay, in addition to said fee, all
costs incurred by the City in connection with processing the
application for vacation, and,
WHEREAS, on May 7, 1991 in accordance with Chapter 1.24 of the
Central Point Municipal Code, the Central Point Planning Commission
received the application, City Staff Report and testimony and
formulated a recommendation to the City Council regarding the
proposed vacations, and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to ORS 271.130, the City Council has elected
to initiate the vacation request upon its own motion, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing to receive testimony from proponents
as well as opponents to an alley vacation is necessary to comply
with Chapter 271 of the Oregon Revised Statues, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL
POINT, OREGON, that the City Council sets a public hearing for
June 20, 1991, at approximately 7;00 p.m. as the time to consider
the vacation of said alleys located within. the Amy and Harbaugh's
Addition.
