HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Resolution 576 RESOLUTION NO. 576 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING LIENS BE PLACED ON THE LIEN DOCKET FOR WEED ABATEMENT OF PROPERTIES DESCRIBED AS TAX LOTS 1700 AND 1901 OF JACKSON COUNTY TAX ASSESSOR MAP PAGE 37 2W 11A (O'HANNES KOROGLUYAN) WHEREAS, pursuant to Central Point Municipal Code Chapter 8.08, certain vegetation is deemed a nuisance and it is unlawful for property owners to keep said nuisances upon real property with the City, and, WHEREAS, unlawful vegetative growth was found on the properties described herein, and therefore determined by the City's. Fire Chief to be a public nuisance, and, WHEREAS, the City sent a Notice of Violation to the property owner(s) of said property on August 14, 1990, and, WHEREAS, said property owner(s) failed to abate said public nuisance, and, City completed the abatement by removal of weeds and maintained an accurate record of expenses incurred by City for said abatement, and, WHEREAS, on October 31, 1990, the City sent a Notice of Assessment to said property owner for abatement costs incurred by the City, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following cost of weed. abatement is declared due and payable to the City of Central Point, and a lien is hereby declared and assessed on the described property in the amounts specified: Name and Address Properties Charges O'Hannes Korogluyan 37 2W 11A TL 1700 $ 45.38 1616 Ravine Terrace 37 2W 11A TL 1901 $ 211.75 Highland Park, IL 60035 Section 2. The City Administrator shall cause the aforesaid charges to be entered into the City's Lien Docket. RESOLUTION NO. 576 LIEN/RESO (01/121090) Section 3. Aforesaid lien shall bear interest at a rate of seven (7°s) percent per year from date of entry in the lien docket.
