A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF A 13.66-ACRE
PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED EAST OF INTERSTATE 5, AND SOUTH OF
PINE STREET INTO THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL
POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Application has been made by the owners of
certain real property for annexation into the City of Central
Point, Oregon. The properties are east of Interstate 5, south
Pine Street, and west of Bear Creek. The tax assessor's map
descriptions are Township 37 South, Range 2 west, Section 2D,
Lots 18-00, 1901, 23-00 and 2400; and Township 37 South, Range 2
West, Section 11A, Tax Lot 101. The total acreage of these
parcels is 13.66 acres. The properties are more particularly
described as follows:
commencing at the Northwest corner of Donation Land Claim No.
56 in Township 37 South, Range 2 West, Hillamette Meridian, Jackson
county, Oregon; thence North 89° 56'30" East, along the Northerly
line of said Claim, 2051.65 feet; thence, leaving said Northerly
line, South o0° 02' 25" East 112.16 feet to the Southerly right-of-
way line of Pine Street for the POINT OY BEGINNING; thence North
89° 53' 23" East, along said Southerly line, 255.59 feet to the
current Corporate boundary of the City of Central Point, oregon;
thence, along. said boundary the following courses: South 16°
.t5^00" Edst 492. 87 feet; thence South 89° 59' 45" west 579.67 feet
and North 00° 02' 25^ East 472.40 feet to the aforementioned
Southerly right-of-way line of Pine Street; thence, leaving said
boundary anfl along said Southerly line, North 89° 56' 30" East
185.85 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Comm®ncing at a 1-i/2 inoh iron pipe marking the. East-
Southeast corner of Donation Land Claim No. 56 in Township 77
South, Range 2 West, Willamette N¢ridian, Jackson County, Oregon;
thence South 89° 56' 70" west, along the Southerly line oY said
claim, 2150.90 lest to the Northeasterly right-oP-way line of
Interstate Highway No. 5; thence North 42° 03' 27" West, along said
Northeasterly line, 497.80 f¢et to a 5/e inch iron pin Pot the
POINT OP BEGINNING; thence, continue North G2° 03' 27" West 1726.10
feet to the current Corporate boundary of the City oP Central
Point; thence, along said. boundary the following courses: North
89° 59' 17" East 507.02 Y¢at; thence South 00° 09' 18" East 127.52
feat and North 89° 54' 45" East 1]1.58 Leet; thence, leaving said
boundary, South 46° 55' S1" East 71.03 feat to a 5/8 inch iron pin;
thence South 17. 09' 38^ EasC 210.22 feet to a 5/e inch iron pin;
thence South 28° 27' 20" East 259.88 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin;
thence South 08° 24' 13^ East 142.69 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin;
thence South 02° 10' 73" West 242.55 Eeet to the Point of Begin-
ning.

The above-described. properties are not within the City of
Central Point's current corporate boundaries, but said properties
are within the City's Urban Growth Boundary and are contiguous to
the City's existing corporate boundary.

Section 2. The owners of the properties described in
Section 1 are:

Section 3. Electors residing on the property are:

Brandy E. Morehouse
Carol L. Olson
Section 4. All of the above-mentioned owners and. electors
have consented. in writing to the annexation.
Section 5. Annexation of the described properties is
consistent with the City's ability to provide facilities and
services to the parcels, as required by the City's Comprehensive
Plan.
Section 6. Pursuant to ORS 222.125, the properties
described in Section 1 above, shall be and hereby are, annexed to
and made a part of the City of Central Point, Oregon.
Section 7. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall
transmit a copy of this resolution to the Oregon Secretary of
State, and this annexation shall be effective when filed with the.
Oregon Secretary of State pursuant to ORS 222.180.
