DOUGL R.S M ENGLE P.01 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTES CAST AT THE ELECTION HELD SEPTEMBER 19, 1995 REGARDING THE PROPOSED 10-YEAR, $900,000 PER YEAR, SERIAL LEVY FOR STREET REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE Recitals 1. A special City election was held on September 19, 1995, during which time legal voters of the City of Central Point considered the issue of a 10-year, $900,000 per year, serial levy for street repair and maintenance; 2. Pursuant to state law, the Jackson County Clerk was the official election officer for the City and has certified the results of said election, said certification having been received on the 20th day of September, 1995; and 3. The City Charter requires that the City Council meet and canvas the returns of said election at the first regularly scheduled meeting following receipt of the Jackson County Clerk's certification of election results. Now, therefore; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The votes cast by electors of the City of Central Point on the street repair levy issue are. found, determined and declared to be as follows: Votes in favor of levy 445 Votes opposed to levy 1,731. Section 2. Pursuant to the foregoing election results, certified by the Jackson County Clerk and canvassed and ratified by the City Council by this resolution, it is hereby found, determined and declared that the proposal for a 10-year, $900,000 per year, serial levy for street repair and maintenance has been defeated by the City of Central Point electors.
