A RESOLUTION ELECTING TO RECEIVE STATE
REVENUE SHARING FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1995-96
PURSUANT TO ORS 221.770
WHEREAS, ORS 221.770 sets forth requirements for eligibility by cities
for receipt of State revenue sharing funds, and the City of Central Point
is desirous of receiving such funds, and qualifies therefor; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CLTY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City hereby elects to receive distribution under ORS
221.770 of the State revenue sharing funds.
Section 2. The City hereby certifies as follows:
A. The City has held at least one public hearing, after adequate
public notice, before the Budget Committee on April 19, 1995, at which
citizens had the opportunity to provide written and oral comment to the
City Council on the possible uses of State revenue sharing funds.
B. The City has held at least one public hearing, after adequate
public notice, before the City Council on June 15, 1995, at which citizens
had the opportunity to provide written and oral comment to, and ask
questions of, the City Council on the proposed use of State revenue sharing
funds in relation to the entire budget of the City for the fiscal year.
C. The City has levied a property tax for the year preceding the
year in which State revenue sharing funds are sought hereunder and pursuant
to ORS 471.810.
Section 3. A copy of this resolution shall be filed with the
executive department of the State of Oregon no later than July 31, 1995.
Passed by the Council and signed by me in authentication of its
passage this 16 day of June, 1995.
