ORDINANCE NO. 1575
AN ,ORDINANCE PROCLAIMING THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF CENTRAL POINT OF A CONTIGUOUS PARCEL OF PROPERTY,
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND WITHDRAWING THE SAME
FROM JACKSON COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 3
AND BEAR CREEK VALLEY SANITARY AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore by Ordinance
No. 1569 declared its intention to annex unincorporated terri-
tories surrounded by the city, pursuant to ORS 222.750, and to
withdraw the same from Bear Creek Valley Sanitary Authority and
Jackson County Fire Protection District No. 3, and
WHEREAS, the public hearing on the question of said annexa-
tion and withdrawals was duly and regularly held on July 17, 1986
at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, at which time all
interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard upon
said questions, and
WHEREAS, the duly adopted comprehensive plan for the City of
Central Point establishes that the zoning for the territory
described hereinafter shall, upon annexation, be zoned as R-1,
now, therefore,
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described parcel of real property
situated in Jackson County, Oregon:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 9 of the
AMENDED PLAT of Lots 3 to 10 INCLUSIVE, PITTVIEW
SUBDIVISION in Jackson County, Oregon, according to the
official plat thereof, now of record; thence along the
west line of Lots 9, 10 and 15, said AMENDED SUBDI-
VISION, North 0° 04' 13" West, 416.24 feet (record
416.7 feet) to the Northwest corner of said Lot 15:
thence along the north line of Lots 15 and 18, said

AMENDED SUBDIVISION, South 89° 51' 44" East, 379.32
feet (record 379.3 feet); thence South 0° 03' 50" East,
138.90 feet; thence North 89° 51' 44" West, 75.00 feet;
thence along the east line of said Lots 10 and 9, South
0° 03' 50" East, 277.20 feet to the Southeast corner of
-said Lot 9; thence along the south line thereof, North
89° 53' 22" West, 304.27 feet (record 304.3 feet) to
the point of beginning;
be, and the same is hereby proclaimed to be annexed to the City
of Central Point, Oregon.
Section 2. That the City Administrator shall submit to the
Secretary of State of the State of Oregon a copy of this ordi-
nance and a copy of Ordinance No. 1569, and shall, within ten
(10) days of the effective date of this annexation, report this
annexation to the County Clerk, County Assessar and County
Engineer of Jackson County, Oregon, and to the Department of
Revenue of the State of Oregon, all in the manner required by
law.
Section 3. The above described territory annexed to the
City of Central Point is hereby withdrawn from Bear Creek Valley
Sanitary Authority and Jackson County Fire Protection District
No. 3, and pursuant to ORS 222.520 Central Point assumes and
agrees to pay the amount of taxes which otherwise would be
extended each year against the property hereby withdrawn for the
retirement of bonded debt, subject to the right of the City to
obtain reimbursement therefor from said property owner(s). The
City Administrator shall forthwith file certified copies of the
within ordinance with the Jackson County Assessor and with the
governing bodies of the Bear Creek Valley Sanitary Authority and
Jackson County Fire Protection District No. 3.

Section 4. The zone for the above described territory
annexed to the City of Central Point is hereby established as
Zoning District R-1.
Passed by the Council and signed by me in authentication of
its passage this 16th day of October , 1986.
