HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Resolution 607RESOLUTION NO. 607 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTES CAST AT THE SPECLAL ELECTION HELD NOVEMBER 5, 1991 WHEREAS, a special City election was held on November 5, 1991, during o7hich time legal voters of the City of Central Point considered Measure 15-2, the ballot title question relating to City Ordinance No. 1661, which limits woodburning on high pollution days; and WHEREAS, pursuant to State law, the Jackson County Clerk was the official election officer for the City and has certified the results of said election,. said certification having been received on the 6th. day of November, 1991; and WHEREAS, the City Charter requires that the City Council meet and canvas the returns of said election at the. first regularly scheduled meeting following receipt of the Jac)cson County Clerk's certification of election results. Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The votes cast by electors of the City of Central Point for. Measure 15-2, the ballot title question relating to City Ordinance No. 1661 limiting woodburning on high pollution days are hereby found, determined and declared-to be as follows: (Total votes cast 1909) Yes 1199 No 710 Section 2. Pursuant to the foregoing results, certified by the Jackson County Clerk and canvassed and ratified by the City Council by this resolution, it is hereby found, determined and declared that the foliocaing are the official results of the general election held on November 5, 1991: Measure 15-2, asking if Ordinance No. 1661 should be adopted: Yes XXX No 1 - RESOLUTION NG. 607 (1.11591) Passed by the Council and signed by me in authentication of its passage this ~ day of -Y_)-d-L~Pivv~lae.C~ 1991.
