AN ORDINANCE MAKING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO TITLE 10
OF THE CENTRAL POINT MUNICIPAL CODE
PERTAINING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Central Point Municipal Code Section 10.04.110
is hereby amended to read as follows:

10.04.3-1& Mobile Home, Motor Home, Camper, Van, Car or
Truck Parking/Prohibitions. A. No person shall park any mobile
home, motor home, van, car, camper, camp trailer, boat or other
recreational vehicle, truck or utility trailer:
1. In one location on any portion of any public street
or alley for any period longer than 72 consecutive hours, except
that short-term out of town visitors may park such recreational
vehicles for a period not to exceed two weeks in any one calendar
ear; or
2. In one location on any portion of any public street
or alley or in the front setback area of any residential
property, when parking in such setback area impairs clear vision
for traffic safety.
B. No person shall reside in any mobile home, motor home,
van, camper, camp trailer, car, (ems) truck, tent, or any other
type of non-dwelling living structure, in any front, side or rear
yard area of any residential property for a period more than two
weeks in any one calendar year. ( ,

Section 2. Central Point Municipal Code Section 10.16.020
is hereby amended to read as follows:
10.16.020 Truck traffic and parking prohibitions. It is
unlawful to drive or park any vehicle having a gross vehicle
weight in excess of (~ "peen) twenty thousand pounds upon any
public street within the city, with the following exceptions:
A. Highway 99 and East Pine Street within the city, or any
other street within the city over which jurisdiction control is
exercised by the Oregon State Highway Commission;
B. Haskell Street within the city, between the hours of
five a.m. and seven p.m.;
C. All service and delivery vehicles on bona fide delivery
or service trips on the most convenient and direct route within
the city;

D. Trucks awaiting repair or being repaired, while parked
in the immediate vicinity of the repair business, and trucks
temporarily parked while the drivers are obtaining documentation
relating to loads or insurance, when said activities occur within
a commercial zoning district within the city;
E. Upon special permit issued by the chief of police
pursuant to Section 10.16.030 of this chapter.
