HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1427ORDINANCE NO. 1427 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR USE OF COUNTY JAIL FOR ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS WHEREAS, ORS 221.914(2) provides for use of the county jail for imprisonment upon ordinance violations upon authoriza- tion by ordinance, consent of the county governing body and assumption by the city of the expense of such imprisonment, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and appropriate to authorize such imprisonment by ordinance, and assume the expense thereof, and the Jackson County Commissioners have consented thereto, now, therefore, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Any person sentenced to imprisonment for the violation of an ordinance shall be imprisoned in the county jail of Jackson County, Oregon. Section 2. The City of Central Point assumes the expenses of such imprisonment and will make payment upon such terms as shall be agreed upon between the city and county.
