AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ASSESSMENT AGAINST PROPERTY BENEFITTED
FOR THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF CURBS, SIDEWALKS, GUTTERS,
STREET' IMPROVEMENTS AND A STORM SEWER ON HOPKINS ROAD FROM A
POINT APPROXIMATELY 162 FEET WEST OF BURSELL ROAD AND
EXTENDING EASTERLY APPROXIMATELY 1410 FEET TO THE END OF
HOPKINS ROAD WITHIN THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON,
DIRECTING NOTICES OF SUCH PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS,
AND SETTING A DATE
The City Council by Ordinance No. 1371 declared its
intention to construct curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm sewers
and asphaltic paving on Hopkins Road from a point approximately
162 feet west of Bursell Road and extending easterly approximately
1410 feet to the end of Hopkins Road within the City of Central
Point, Oregon, and to assess each lot, or portion thereof, adjacent
to anal benefitted by such improvements, its proportionate share
of the cost thereof, and

as required by law, and

THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The actual cost of the curbs., sidewalks,
gutters, street improvement and storm sewer on Hopkins Road from
a point approximately 162 feet west of Bursell Road and extending
easterly approximately 1410 feet to the end of Hopkins Road within

the City of Central Point is hereby determined to be the sum of
$185,542.98 including interest, inspection costs and administra-
tive costs in the sum of $14,352.95, computed to April 10, 1981,
which is the last date to make payment or apply for Bancroft
bonding pursuant. to ORS 223..210. Said total sum of $185,542.98
is to be paid by assessments against benefitted property owners.
Section 2. The following described parcels of real
property, designated by Jackson County Tax Assessor°s tax lot
numbers, are benefitted by the construction of said improvements
in the full amount indicated for each parcel as a proportionate
share of the total amount to be assessed against all benefitted
property, and the. Council proposes to make assessments for the
cost thereof in the amount indicated for each parcels

Section 3. The City Recorder is directed to serve
notice of the proposed assessments set forth herein by mailing
or personally delivering notices to the owners of each of the
properties to be assessed as set forth in Section 2 of this
ordinance, setting forth the amount of the proposed assessment
and setting the 12th day of March, 1981 as the date before which
objections to such proposed assessments shall be filed with the
Recorder and as the time for the hearing and determination of
such objections.
Section 4. This ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety
of the City of Central Point, Oregon, based upon the completion
of construction, need for payment to the City and determination
of a final date for accruing interest charges, second reading is
waived pursuant to Municipal Code Section 2.04.020 and an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately upon its passage by the Council and.
approval by the Mayor.
