ORDINANCE N0. 1540 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.16 OF THE CENTRAL POINT MUNICIPAL CODE CHARGING FOR SERVICES THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3.16.030 of the Central Point Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows: 3.16.030 Police Department Charges. The following charges shall be collected by the police department, in the manner specified, for the following described services: A. Office Services. 1. Applicant finger- $3.00 per person Payable in advance printing 2. Bicycle license fees $1.00 per year Payable in advance 3. Copies of reports $5.00 for 1st page, Payable in advance $1.00 for each additional page B. Equipment use. 1. Use of property $2.00 for two Payable in advance engraver consecutive days by one party 2. Use of automatic one week or less Payable in advance light timer $2.00; two weeks $3.00; three weeks $4.00; four weeks $5.00 C. Investigative Services. 1. Vehicle accident $15.00 per investi- Payable in advance investigations gation of delivery of occurring on private report (no additional property (when no charge for report) citation for traffic crime is issued) Ord. No. 1540 - 1 2. Investigation of bad check cases on re- quest of victim (where victim declines to prosecute or dismisses) $10.00 for first check, $3.00 for each additional check D. Response to Alarms. 1. Owner or employee First response caused false alarm $10.00; second response within three months $25.00; third response within six months $50.00; fourth response within one year $100.00; each additional response within one year $100.00 2. False alarm caused First response by faulty installation $20.00; second or defective equipment response within three months $50.00; third response within six months $100.00; fourth and each subsequent response within one year $250.00 each E. Special Duty Police Officers. Billed on conclusion of service Billable to user following each response Billable to alarm company following each response 1. The compensation rate per officer, per hour, will be computed on an actual cost factor based on total services provided. 2. Total services provided includes, but is not limited to, current employee salaries and benefits, equipment usage, supervisory and admin- istrative costs, etc. 3. The hourly compensation rate will be reviewed and adjusted if necessary each year by the Finance Director, in accordance with the criteria established by this ordinance. 4. Authorization for usage of police personnel, staffing requirements, equipment usage, minimum-maximum assignment hours, etc., will be at the discretion and only upon approval of the chief of police.
