HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1802ORDINANCE NO. lSoa AN ORDINANCE ADDING A FEE FOR IMPOUNDED VEHICLE RELEASE TO POLICE DEPARTMENT CHARGES IN CPMC 3.:16.030 'PHE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Central Point Municipal Code Section 3.16.030 is hereby amended to read as follows: 3.16.030 Police department charges. The following charges shall be collected by the police department, in the manner specified, for the following described services: A. Office Services. 1. P.pplicant finger- printing $5.00 for 1 card $3.00 fo.r each additional card Payable in advance Payable in advance 2. Bicycle license fees 3. Copies of reports $1.00 per year Payable in advance $5.00 for first Payable in advance page; $i.00 for each additional page B. Investigative Services. 1. Vehicle accident $15.00 per investigations investigatior. occurring on private property (when no citation for traffic crime is issued) 2. Investigation of $10.00 for first bad check cases on check, $3.00 for request of victim each additional (where victim check declines to prose- cute or dismiss) Payable in advance of delivery of report (no addi- tional charge for report) Billed on conclusion of service 1 - ORDINANCE N0. / O (031899) C. Response to Alarms. 1. Ocaner or employee caused false alarm First response Billable to user $10.00; second following each response within response three months $25.00; third response with- in six_ months $50.00; fourth response with- in one year $100.00; each additional response within one year $100.00 2. Special Duty Police Officers. 1. The compensation rate per officer, per hour, will be computed on an actual cost facter based on total services provided. 2. Total services provided includes, but is not limited to, current employee salaries and benefits, equipment usage, supervisory and administrative costs, etc. 3. The hourly compensation rate will be reviewed and adjusted if necessary each year by the finance director, in accordance with the criteria established by this section. 4. Authorization for usage of police personnel, staffing requirements, equipment usage, minimum-maximum assignment hours, etc., will be at the discreticn and only upon approval of the chief of polio .
