A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPLY FOR A GRANT THROUGH THE
OREGON SAFE DRINKING WATER REVOLVING LOAN FUND
WHEREAS, the Oregon Economic & Community Development Departments Safe Drinking
Water Revolving Loan Fund is accepting applications through the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Central Point desires to participate in this grant and loan program to the
greatest extent possible as a means of providing a needed water reservoir; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is committed to constructing a safe reservoir to serve
existing and future residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Central Point, Oregon, that the
City be authorized to apply fora $3,000,000 grant/loan from the Oregon Safe Drinking Water
Revolving Fund from the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department .for
construction of a two million gallon water reservoir.
The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to act on the City's behalf in all matters
pertaining to this application.
