Home My WebLink AboutCouncil Resolution 645RESOLUTION NO. /°~~ A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE JUNE, 1992 MEDFORD WATER COMMISSION WATER CURTAILMENT PLAN Recitals 1. Central Point purchases its water from the Medford Water Commission; 2. The Medford Water Commission has recently adopted a "Water Curtailment Plan" dated June, 1992, which plan can go into effect upon a majority vote of the Medford Water Commission or the Board of Water Commissioners declaring that an emergency exists; 3. As a Medford Water Commission customer, Central Point must have the ability to decrease the water useage of Central Point citizens if the Medford Water Commission decreases the City's supply; and 4. On October 15, 1992, the Central Point City Council passed Ordinance No. 1677 enacting CPMC 13.04.125, which authorizes the City Council to adopt, by resolution, a "Water Curtailment Plan" to be effective in the City whenever enacted pursuant to the terms of such plan. Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Central Point hereby adopts the June, 1992 "Medford Water Commission Water Curtailment Plan", in its entirety, for application in Central Point. The Central Point City Council is hereby granted all rights and authority, in the City of Central Point, granted in the plan to the Medford Water Commission, and the Central Point City Administrator, or his designee, is granted all rights and authority, in the City of Central Point, granted in the Plan to the Manager of the Medford Water Commission. Such rights and authority shall be exercised by the City Council, or the City Administrator or his designee, in accordance with the terms of the plan. RESOLUTION N0. /~N 5 (111792) Section 2.
