HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1870ORDINANCE; NO. / g � � AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.55.020 OF THE CENTRAL POINT MUNICIPAL, CODE PERTAINING TO THE TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2.55.020,of the Central Point Municipal Code to read as follows: 2.55.020 Membership: The Traffic Safety Committee shall consist of three five members who shall be selected through an open public process and formally appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. All members must be residents of the City of Central Point. All citizens attending Traffic Safety Committee meetings shall be entitled to express opinions or offer additional information pertaining to any matter being heard by the committee, subject only to reasonable rules to be established by the time limitations and orderly procedures for the conduct of meetings. The City Administrator or his/her designee shall appoint city staff to act in a non-voting, advisory capacity to the committee. City staff shall, at a minimum, consist of one person from Planning, one person from Public Works, and one person from the Police Department. The Mayor shall appoint one member of the City Council to attend the Traffic Safety Committee and act as liaison to the City Council.
