A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION
OF 0.96 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF
HANLEY ROAD, AND SOUTH OF DIEGO COURT
INTO THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Application has been made by the owners of certain real property for
annexation into the City of Central Point, Oregon. The property consists of one tax lot and
road right-of-way totaling approximately 0.96 acres. The property to be annexed is more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 22 in the Pheasant Creek Estates Subdivision
recorded as Volume 29, Page 62 in the records of Jackson County Oregon being the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING, thence North 80d 59'32"East a distance of 136.41 to the centerline of
Hanley Road, thence southerly along said centerline a distance of 310 feet more or less to a point
that is located North 79d 58'00" East 41.20 to the Northeast corner of Lot 27 in the Pheasant
Creek Estates Subdivision, thence South 79d 58' 00"West 137 feet, thence North 03d50'00"East
309.83 to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
The above described property is not within the City of Central Point's
Current corporate boundaries, but is contiguous to the City's existing corporate boundary
and is within the Central Point Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
Section 2. The owners of the property proposed for annexation Mark and Susan
Rode, and there is mutual consent to the annexation. Such written consent is on file at
Central Point City Hall, 155 South Second Street, Central Point, Oregon.
Section 3.ORS 222.125 provides that when all of the owners of land in the territory
proposed for annexation and not less than 50% of the electors residing in such territory
have consented in writing to the annexation of the land in the territory and file such written
consent with the City Council, the property may be annexed without the requirement for an
election or a public hearing.
Section 4. Annexation of the described property is consistent with the City's ability
to provide facilities and services to the real property, as required by the City's
Comprehensive Plan.
Section 5. Pursuant to ORS 222.125, the property described in Section 1 above,
shall be and hereby is, annexed to and made part of the City of Central Point, Oregon.
Section 6. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Oregon Secretary of State, and this annexation shall be effective when
filed with the Oregon Secretary of State pursuant to ORS. 222.180.
