A RESOLUTION RESCINDING CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 131 WHICH REGULATED DEVELOPMENT
ALONG SNOWY BUTTE LANE
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 131 on January 5, 1988
regulating development along Snowy Butte Lane; and
WHEREAS, the property owners along Snowy Butte Lane have found it difficult to make any
improvements to the road or their property given those regulations; and
WHEREAS, the property owners, City staff and the City Council have met on various occasions
since February 2002 to resolve the difficulties associated with following the guidelines given in
Resolution No. 131; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to design the Snowy Butte Lane road improvement and the
property owners will work cooperatively to finance and build those improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Central Point wishes to respond to the concerns of its citizens and
property owners, and come together to develop innovative design solutions that promote infill
development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CENTRAL POINT, OREGON that Planning Commission Resolution No. 131 is hereby
rescinded to allow Snowy Butte Lane property owners more flexibility to pursue street
improvements and to develop their property consistent with its zoning.
