A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF CENTRAL
POINT CLASSIFICATION PLAN
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.48 of the Central Point Code authorizes and directs the City Council
to adopt rules relating to personnel matters; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has adopted such rules as the "City of Central Point
Personnel Policies and Procedures" and has most recently revised those rules under Resolution
No. 921 adopted on July 31, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.1.1 of said rules requires that the duties and responsibilities ofeach
employee of the City shall be approved by the City Council and recorded as the "Classification
Plan" for the City of Central Point; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to make revisions
to said Classification Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, that the revisions to the City of Central Point Classification Plan,
attached hereto marked Exhibit A and by this reference incorporated hereto, be, and the same are,
hereby ratified and adopted.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Site Coordinator
Reports to: Parks & Recreation Assistant
Salary Range: $9.50 min-$12.22 max
General Function:
Under the supervision of the Recreation Assistant, develop and maintain a
safe, developmentally appropriate program for school age children.
Entry Requirements:
• Minimum of two year degree in Education or related field, or 30 hours
of classes in Child Development or two years experience working
with school aged children preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Current driver's license.
• 21 years of age
• Current CPR/First Aide Card or willing to obtain it in a timely manner
Essential Functions of the Job:
• Ability to communicate well with children, staff and parents.
• Sense of humor, positive attitude and fairness.
• Ability to work independent as well as create and lead work teams.
• Ability and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification annually.
• Ability and willingness to perform any and all jobs in the program.
• Ability and willingness to participate in job related training annually.
• Ability to sit on floor or child sized chair, stand for 1 hour periods,
occassionaly lift 50 Ibs and crouch for 15 minutes.
Job Segments:
• Provide and follow written plans for awell-balanced, age appropriate
curriculum.
• Supervise assistants and volunteers.
• Maintain a physically and emotionally appropriate environment for
children in compliance with state regulations and school standards.
• Maintain a clean and neat environment
• Supervise children at all times
• Maintain a high level of interaction with the children.
• Maintain positive interactions with parents & guardians of children.
• Complete all record keeping in an accurate and timely manner.
• Design and implement adaily/monthly schedule, which includes
activities to enhance the development of cognitive, social, emotional
and physical skills.
• Maintain positive communication with school personnel.
• Participate in observation, assessment and evaluation of children.
• Adhere to the principles of love, respect, honest, service and
responsibility.
• Respond appropriately to all and any emergency situations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• 17 yrs of age
• Current CPR/First Aide

• Ability and willingness to participate in job related training.
• Ability to relate well to children, parents and other staff.
• Ability and willingness to perform any and all jobs in the program.
• Sense of humor, positive attitude, gentle demeanor and sense of
justice.
• Ability to sit on the floor or child sized chair, stand for 1 hour periods,
occasionally lift 50 lbs. And frequently lift 301bs and crouch for 15
minutes.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to remain focused on job.
• Ability to multi-task.
