A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION
OF 5.88 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF VILAS ROAD,
AND THE EAST SIDE OF HAMRICK ROAD INTO
THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Application has been made by the owners of certain real property for annexation
into the City of Central Point, Oregon. The property consists of one tax lot and sections of road
right-of--way consisting of a total of 5.88 acres. The property to be annexed is more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast comer of Parcel 1, of Partition Plat No. P-34-
1998, Jackson County, Oregon, Partition Plat Records, filed June 4, 1998 in
Volume 9, Page 34 being the true point of beginning, thence North 89° 44' 10"
East a distance of 303.73 feet, thence North 00° 15' 30" East a distance of
761.15 feet, thence North 89° 46' 20" West a distance of 90.00 feet, thence North
00° 04' 13" East a distance of 185.09 feet, thence along the arc of a 542.96 foot
radius curve to the left (the long chord to which bears South 10° 09'48"West
312.71 feet) an arc distance of 24.15 feet, thence South 00° 04'13" West 180.57
feet, thence North 89° 46' 20"West 190.00 feet, thence South 00° 04' 13" West
761.15 feet., to the true point of beginning.
The above -described property is not within the City of Central Point's Current
corporate boundaries, but is contiguous to the City's existing corporate boundary and is within the
Central Point Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
Section 2. The owner of the property proposed for annexation is the City of Central Point,
and there is mutual consent to the annexation. Such written consent is on file at Central Point City
Hall, 155 South Second Street, Central Point, Oregon.
Section 3.ORS 222.125 provides that when all of the owners of land in the territory proposed
for annexation and not less than 50% of the electors residing in such territory have consented in
writing to the annexation of the land in the temtory and file such written consent with the City
Council, the property may be annexed without the requirement for an election or a public hearing.
Section 4. Annexation of the described property is consistent with the City's ability to
provide facilities and services to the real property, as required by the City's Comprehensive Plan.
Section 5. Pursuant to ORS 222.125, the property described in Section I above, shall he and
hereby is, annexed to and made part of the City of Central Point, Oregon.
Section 6. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall transmit a copy of this resolution
to the Oregon Secretary of State, and this annexation shall be effective when filed with the Oregon
Secretary of State pursuant to ORS. 222.180.
