A RESOLUTION TO RECYCLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM INCOME INTO A NEW PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Central Point deems it appropriate to recycle restricted program
income from the Oregon Community Development Block Grant, Project No. H95021, City of
Central Point, Woodstove Replacement and Housing Rehabilitation, and
WHEREAS, these loan repayments must be reinvested into a similar Housing
Rehabilitation program, and
WHEREAS, the new program shall be titled, "Energy Conservation and Housing
Rehabilitation Program, and
WHEREAS, new program will be very similar the old program to include: interest free
loans, not to exceed 512,500, and be available to owner occupant homes, with incomes not to
exceed 80% of the HUD Median Income for the Medford/Central Point MSA, and
WHEREAS, priority shall be the homes inside the Central Point City Limits, then to
inside the Central Point urban growth boundary, then inside the Central Point Urban Growth
Reserve, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing and consideration for this new program was held on August
8, 2002.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, apply with the Oregon Economic Development Department for their approval of the
new Housing Rehabilitation program.
Passed by the Council and signed by me in authentication of its passage this ~y`day of
