A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION
OF 0.985 ACRES OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY KNOWN AS SOUTH FREEMAN ROAD
AND LOCATED GENERALLY BETWEEN BEALL LANE AND ROSE VALLEY DRIVE
INTO THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREOON

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Application has been made by the owners of certain real property for annexation
into the City of Central Point, Oregon. The properly consists of the South Freeman Road right-of--way
located norkh of Beall Lane and south of Rose Valley Drive, consisting of a total of 0.985 acres. The
property to be annexed is more particularly described as follows:
The Freeman Road Right-of-Way Annexation is a 60-foot wide by 715-foot long strip of Jackson County
Road Department right-of-way described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Donaticn Land Claim No.54, Township 37 South, Range 2 West,
Willamette Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon; Thence North 111.78 feet; thence West 1060.15 feet to the
initial point for Homestead Acres Extension No. 1, as platted and recorded in Volume 8, Page 47, of the
Jackson County Plat Records. Said point being the True Point of Beginning; Thence North 0° 04' 40"
West, along the Easterly boundary of said Homestead Acres Extension No.1, 217.99 feet to the most
Southeasterly corner of lot 15, block 11, of Valley Estates -Unit No. 2, as platted and recorded in Volume
12, Page 41, of the Jackson County Plat Records; Thence North 0° 04' 45" West, along the Easterly
boundary of said Valley Estates -Unit No. 2, 415.25 feet; to the Southeast corner of lot 18, block 10, of
said Valley Estates -Unit No. 2; Thence North 89° 59' 40" East 60.01 feet, to the southwest comer of lot
9, block 9, of said Valley Estates -Unit No. 2. Said point being on the Westerly boundary of Block 1 of
Homestead Acres as platted and recorded in Volume 8, Page 15, of the Jackson County Plat Records.
Thence South 0° 04' 40" East, along said Westerly boundary of Block 1 of Homestead Acres 715.02 feet,
more or less, to the northern right-of-way boundary of Beall Lane; thence West along said northerly
boundary of Beall Lane, 60.02 feet; thence North 0° 04' 40" West 81:.78 feet., more or less, to the True Point
of Beginning.
Said Right-of-Way strip contains 0.985 acres mare or less.
The above-described property is not within. the City of Central Point's current corporate boundaries,
but is contiguous to the City's existing corporate boundary and is within the Central Point Urban
Growth Boundary (UGB).
Section 2. The owner of the property proposed far annexation is Jackson County, who has
entered into an agreement with the City of Central Point and there is mutual consent to the annexation.
Such written consent is on file at Central Point City Hall, 155 South Second Street, Central Point,
Oregon.
Section 3. ORS 222.125 provides that when all of the owners of land in the territory proposed
for annexation and not Less that 50% of the electors residing in such territory have consented in writing
to the annexation of the land in the territory and file such written consent with the City Council, the
property may be annexed without the requirement for an election or a public hearing.
Section 4. Annexation of the described. property is consistent with the City's ability to provide
facilities and services to the real property, as required by the Ciry's Comprehensive Plan.
Section 5. Pursuant to ORS 222..125, the property described in Section 1 above, shall be and
hereby is, annexed to and made a part of the City of Central Paint; Oregon.
Section 6. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall transmit a copy of this resolution to
the Oregon Secretary of State,. and this annexation. shall be effective when tiled with the Oregon
Secretary of State pursuant to ORS 222.180.
