HomeMy WebLinkAboutMay 27, 1968 .226 PLANNING COMMISSION 8:00 P.M. REGULAR MEETING ' MAY 27, 1968 Present: Bruce, Jantzer, Taylor, Cox, Langston, Novosad, and George. Meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Lew Cox. Minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved. 1 . Request for "In Home" Occupation for Nate Grisham. There was .no one present in reference to this request, . A motion was made by Langston, -stating, "Due to lack .of representation, this request will be denied," 2nd by Jantzer, Motion Carried. 2. Mrs, Walter Carr, requesting an extension of a variance -to allow a House Trailer on property within::the City Limits, Due to legal matters, Mrs. Cams daughter is unable to leave this area at this time. A motion was made by Jantzer to allow a variance extension for 6 months for this Trailer House within the City Limits, 2nd by Novosad. Motion Carried. 3. Application forms were shown, suggesting fees for request of change of zoning, conditional use, etc. If change is granted, and not used as requested in a specified amount of time, it would revert back to its , original status. Fees would not be refundable. This would be .a means of revenue for the City and would also eliminate a lot of useless requests. 4. Mr, Mason reported there will be a _"No-Host" Dinner at Kims Restaurant on June 12, 1968 for a Planning Commission Workshop. Workshop will be from 4 to 6 P.M. preceedirg the Dinner. This will be a Regional meeting. Dinner will be paid for Planning Commission Members who wish to attend this workshop. 5, Report on Control of WeightrLoads on Certain Streets. A portion of the Estacada Ordinance reads, "No restrictions will be in effect until posted and all motorists warned before entry onto street." It also warns of a Penalty for misuse. Mr. Mason will make copies of the best rulings and give to the Planning Commission for further study. 6. A Motion was made by Jantzer for "Vacation of Alley" between Laurel & Maple Street, and 1st and 2nd Street. 2nd by Langston. Motion Carried. This will be sent to the Council for a Public Hearing. 7, A motion was made by Jantzer to adjourn. 2nd by Langston. Motion Carried. 9:05 P.M. Norman Bruce, Secretary.
