PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING '
February 28,1967
Present: Bruce, Jantzer, Taylor, Cox, Langston, Noel, and Novosad.
Meeting was called to order by the Chairman., Lew Cox, at 7:30 P.i•I.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
1 . Public Hearing on the Amendment of Ordinance # 304. "Home Occupations."
A letter from the City Attorney., Mr. Mansfield, would be necessary to
strike portions of existing ordinance, to remain within the City Charter.
No objections were presented to this change. A motion was made by Jantzer
to recommend to the City Council that this proposed change be' adopted.
2nd by Bruce. Motion carried.
2. Mr. Hedgepeth, 471 Grand Ave. Central Point, requesting a variance
to allow him to build an addition to his residence. A motion was made
by Langston to grant this request. 2nd by Novosad. Motion carried.
3. Harley Dressler, presented preliminary plans for an additional duplex,
to be. constructed at South 4th and Grand Ave. This would require a variance
for this structure A motion was made by Noel to call for a Public Hearing
on this request.. 2nd by Jantzer. Motion carried.
4. Mr. Frohnmeyer, on behalf of the Cheney Forest Products, and in re- '
ferrence to the Proposed Zoning Ordinance, asked for a recommendation that
the M1 Zone be changed to M2 Zone before this Zone map. is adopted.
As this seemed to be an error in the numbering, it will be referred to
the pro po r persons to have this change made.
5. Discussion of the Hence Ordinance. Ordinance No. 818.
No fence, hedge, etc,. over 3z feet in height shall be constructed, or grown
in front (street side) of the set-back lines. 6 foot height limit on fences
or hedges, constructed, or grown, on or behind set-back lines. A motion by
Jantzer to recommend to the Council to change the wording, using the phrase,
"set-back lines," to mere clearly define the meaning of the Ordinance. .
2nd by hToel. Motion carried.
6. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Noel -to adjourn..
2nd by Langston. Motion carried.. 8:20 P.M.
