PLANNING COMMISSION ' CITY HALL May 2,1966 Meeting called to order by Chairman Lewis Cox at 7:30 p.m. Members present: Cox,Jantzer,Novasad,Tonn,Langston,N. Bruce., Absent:"Noel. Petition for Zone change from Residential Zone Ito Commercial Zone II on Lots 1,2,3,4,Block 32, Original Town,(old Community Bible Church property) Motion made by Tonn, second by Langston to recommend the council approve the request. Motion carried.(Public Hearing to be held,11ay.31,1966,7:30 p.m.) Fence Ordinance change proposal-- Motion made by Jantzer, second by Novasad to, recommend repeal of Ordinance No. 760 and adopt the propostlordinance. . A CITY OF CENTRAL POINT Proposed Urban Planning Assistance (701) Project This planning project for the City of Central Point will make use of the gen- eral mapping, land use and zoning work prepared under the Bear Creek Urban Region projects and will give detailed emphasis to provide the basis for a comprehensive plan for this rapidly growing city. 1) Base Ma s. Preparation of base maps at various appropriate scales such as 400, 2001 100 and 50 feet to the inch) and adapting the various airphotos to the city needs. These base maps will supple- ment the valley maps prepared under the Bear Creek Urban Region pro jects. 2) Land Use Study. Up date and refine the data collected in the re- gional study; replot with different emphasis. Preparation of a pre- liminary land use plan. Provision for staff attendance and assist- ance at the many hearings and meetings. 3) Zoning Ordinance. Adapt the general zoning work being done as part of the regional studies to the needs of the City of Central Point. � Provision for staff assistance at the many sessions in preparing y k' the ordinance and the various hearings to consider and adopt these i;J regulations will be made. A motion was made by Ayres and second by Williams to check the signatures on the above eight-plex and call for a public hearing on July 27, 1965. Motion carried.
