PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
ft Y HALL April 26,1966
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Lewis Cox.
'Members present: Norm Bruce,Lewis Cox,Bob Jantzer,Bill Langston,Vic Noel,
Ray Novasad,Harry Torin.
Public Hearing on Zone Change--
Motion by Harry Tonn, second Noel to accept the change of Zone from Residential,
Zone I to Commercial,Zone 2 of Lots 5 and 6,Block 9, Original Town. Motion
carried.
Motion Tonn ,second Jantzer
to recommend to the city council to accept a three way exchange of land--
on area basis between the Catholic Church,The City of Central Point, and
Mr. Walter Carr, as per sketch and letter from Mr. Carr, dated 4/14/66,
all costs to be defrayed by property owners and no costs to city. Motion
carried.
Concerning the annexation of the Bohnert property on Taylor Road.
Mrs. Eudora Bohnert submitted a letter dated 4/25/66 requesting annexation
of her property on Taylor Road to the City.
Described as follows:
North side of Taylor Road,180 feet deep and 570 feet long-Map 72-33
SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 3, Township 37S,Range 2W,Williamette Meridian,
having Couth Boundary on Taylor Road-W st Boundary on Miller property,1988
Taylor Road,East Boundary on Bailey property,1872 Taylor Road.
Motion made by Jantzer, second by Noel to accept request for annexation and
refer to council. Motion carried.
Regarding a request for variance on driveway ordinanee submitted by Mr. Bert
Adams on proposed Multiple Dwelling at Pine and Haskell Streets. Variance
motion called for. No motion made.
Alternate parking plans discussed with view to utilize available parking area.
Mrs. Vern Kight and Mrs. McGrath discussed their problems on Pine Street
Apartment house.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. by Chairman Lewis Cog.
