HomeMy WebLinkAboutJanuary 25, 1966 18 . PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING CITY HALL January 25,1066 , The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Chairman Harry:Tonn. Members present: Langston, Noel; Jantzer, Cox, Bruce, Ayres. Motion by Ayres and second by.Noel that the minutes of the .previous meetings be approved. Motion carried. Mrs. Davis is looking for permission to operate a mobile business in a residential area: It seems it is illegal to operate a mobile business ina residential area on the street. It seems it is not Planning Commission business. Mr. Romine presented a preliminary plat, (through his attorney) for a subdivision on his. property "Regal Terrace". N E T1,, Sec 3, T W P 375 R 2 W W M . A problem came up on .surface drainage and where to run the sewer and on a few lot sizes and frontages. A motion by Ayres and second by Jantzer to accept the above plat of lots in the ° Regal Terrace" subdivision with changes to bring it up to City sub- division ordinance. A topographical'- map is requested to help map out the sewer for this project. Motion carried. Mr. Tom Whittle requested a building pgrmit to build a house on the north , east corner of 1st and Maple. One house is alaeady on this lot. The first house is set back and the new house is to go on the corner. A motion by Jantzer and .second by Cox to have an on site inspection, Thursday noon at the above site to determine what to do. Motion carried. George Gilham presented a plat to build a duplex on the corner of 5th and Laurel. A motion by Noel and second by Bruce to accept the preliminary plat of the above duplex with a 5' variance on 5th to match the duplex adjoining on the north side. Motion carried. Nominations are open for the election of the new officers of Secretary and Chairman. Chet Ayres was nominated for chairman of the Planning Commission and elected by a vote of 6 for and 1 against. Norman Bruce was nominated for Secretary of the Planning Commission and elected by a vote of 6 for and 1 against. A passing out ceremony will be held for the passing chairman and secretary by the other members of the Planning Commission. PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING January 25, 1966 ADDENDUM First item of business on the January 25, 1966 agenda was a Public Hearing on Change of Zone of Lots 9-10-11, Block 9, Original Town of Central Point, Jackson County, Oregon, from Residential Zone I .to Commercial Zone II. Better known as Strievers, Golden Age Nursery. No one appeared either for or against this Zone change. Motion by Cox, second by Jantzer to accept this Zone change and -refer to City Council. All in favor. Motion carried. Next item of business was a Public Hearing, for Rodney E. Hall, on construction of a Multiple Dwelling (4 plex) on Lot 3, Block 9, Original Town of Central Point, Jackson County, Oregon. No one appeared either for or against this Zone Variance.. Motion by Ayres and second by Noel to accept the Zone Variance and Pefer to City Council. All in favor. Motion carried.
