HomeMy WebLinkAboutOctober 26, 1965 178 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING CITY HALL October 26, 1965 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Chairman Harry Tonn. ' Members present: Bruce, Cox, Tonn, Jantzer. The minutes of September 28, 1965 and October 12, 1965 were read and approved. Public Hearing is held on the duplex of Dale Bartleyts. There was no ob- jection. Motion made by Jantzer and second by Bruce to accept this and turn it over to the City Council for approval. Motion carried. Public Hearing is held on the tri-plex of Wilbur Reed's: There was no objection. A motion was made by Cox and second by Bruce to accept this and turn it over to the City Council for approval: Motion carried. The Planning Commission would like the City Council to check on the City Ordinance pertaining to parking area in commercial property building code. A committee of Jantzer and Cox will work on this project if City Ordinance does not cover this parking problem. A plot plan and petition was presented by Norman Bruce to build a four- plex on Lot 3, Block 63, Original Town. A motion was made by Jantzer and second by Ayres to accept this Four-plex , and hold a Public Hearing at our next regular meeting on November 30, 1965. Motion carried. A motion was made by Jantzer and second by Bruce to hold a Public Hearing on Mr. Sutphin's Snack Bar on First Street on the evening of November 9, 1965 at 8:00 P.M. Motion carried. This item came up at our September 28, 1965 meeting. A motion was made by Ayres and second by Cox to table the Mead, Miller, School District 6 property annexation until the City Engineer, Vern Capps, Mr. Mason, and Mr. Saxbury assure us that the improvements on this property are up to City standards end recommendations.
