HomeMy WebLinkAboutAugust 31, 1965 1'76 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING CITY HALL August 31, 1965 ' The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Harry Tonn. The minutes of July 27, 1965 were read and approved. Members present: Tonn, Noel, Jantzer, Bruce, Ayres, Williams. Lloyd Walsh wishes to build a carport on his property at 647 Cherry St. He wants a 19 foot varience on Seventh Street to build this carport. Motion by Ayres and second by Noel to give the above requested varience for the carport. Motion carried. A motion was made by Jantzer and second by Ayres to let L. L. Kottke operate an iia home T7 businesslat his residence at 261 N. Fourth Street according to City Code. Motion carried. Mr. Sells presented his revised plans for the eight-unit apartment on East Pine Street. It is a very feasable plan with 14 parking unitg for the eight- plex. A motion was made by Jantzer and second by Ayres to accept the eight- unit apartment on East Pine Street to be built by Joe Sells and present it to the City Council for approval. Motion carried. Bill Colley presented a plat for a house on Lot 7, Block 12, to obtain a backyard varience from 251 to 161 . Royal Heights Extention III. A motion was made by Ayres and second by Noel to grant the above varience on Lot 7, Block 12, to Bill Colley. Motion carried. Mr. Phillips presented a plat of his property on Cedar Street. He wants to put two duplexes and two houses on the piece of property on Cedar. He needs a varience for the two duplexes. A motion was made by Ayres and second by Williams to call for a Public Hearing on the two duplexes of Mr. Phillips' at our next regular meeting on September 28, 1965, o Mr. Phillips wants a varience to put a second house on his property at 628 Cedar Street. An on-site inspection will be held October 1, 1965 at 12:00 P.M. at Mr. Phillips' property at 628 Cedar. A motion was made by Noel and second by Ayres to accept Tom Whittle's pro- posal on his property on Ash Street (10 ft, front varience) in exchange for 40 feet for the extention of Seventh Street, according to the letter from the City Attorney, August 20, 1965. A copy of said letter is attached. Motion carried. A motion by Ayres and second by Bruce to hold a Public Hearing at our next regular meeting, September 28, 1965, on the proposed duplex at the westerly 55 feet of Lot 1, Block 3, of Shields Ammended Addition.
