PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
CITY HALL July 27, 1965
The minutes of June 29, 1965 were read and approved.

Members present: Tonn, Jantzer, Williams, Bruce, Ayres, Noel.
Public Hearing was held on the tri-plex at 4th and Ash, presented
by Frank Glenn. There was no objection. It will be turned over to
the City Council for approval.
Public Hearing was'held .on the Joe Sells' apartment on Pine. Mr.
Cliff Ayres spoke against .the' apartment, too small of a parking
area. Wrong area, too small.of a lot. Fifteen people raised hands
against this apartment house. Swede Wernmark spoke in .favor of
this apartment zoning. Public opinion seems to be against this
apartment house. . Mr. Sells attorney spoke on Sell's and Mr: &
Mrs. .Kight's argument as to-why the.apartment should go in. He
gave a long legal .talk on the advantage of this. apartment house. '
Motion by Ayres and second by Noel to table the Sell' s deal until
meeting with Mr. Brenner at the County Planning Commission Meeting
on August 5, 1965: Motion carried.
Cliff Ayres said they had'a majority of property owners-within
300 ft. that didn't-sign the petition. _ These names will have to
be checked before further action is'.taken.
A motion made by Noel and second by Ayres to accept Ordinance No._
amending Ordinance #304:& #725 with provisions added to retain
5,000 sq. ft. 'with the original and every new house to be built.
Motion carried.
A motion made by Ayres and second by Noel to table L. L. Kottke's
request for a home T. V. service until this matter is fully in-
vestigated as to location and size. Motion carried.
Warren B. Hamlin wishes to annex the property referred to in the
attached legal description (Furniture Barn and land). He presented
a petition and legal description. A motion by Ayres and second
by Williams to accept this property for annexation and present it
to the City Council. Motion carried.

Doyle Fox and Leonard Hammer wish to annex property described in
the attached plat and legal description east of 10th in the City.
A motion made by Jantzer and second by Bruce to accept this pro-
perty for annexation and present it to the City Council. Motion
carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 P.M. by Chairman Harry Tonn.
