HomeMy WebLinkAboutMarch 30, 1965 169 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING March 30,1965 CITY HALL ' Minutes,. of February 23,1965 read and approved. Members present: Noel,Williams,Tonn,Jantzer,Bruce. Absent: Ayres (in hospital) Public Hearing was held on the E.C. Brittsan property. Lots 1-2-3-4, Block 32, Original Town.There was no objection to a Multiple Dwelling to be built on this property. (5th and Alder Streets.) A motion was made by Bruce,second by Noel to present this above issue to the City Council for their approval. Motion carried. A motion made by Jantzer, second by Bruce to turn down a variance on the corner of 5th and Cherry Streets,SW corner. Lloyd Seymour had presented the plot plan. Variance was from 20 foot to 17 foot set-back on Cherry Street. Motion carried. A motion by Jantzer,second by Noel to have an on site inspection at the corner of 8th and Maple,SE corner. A 2 foot front variance on this house to be moved in. It will also make 2 housesoon a 53 by 145 foot lot. Inspection will be at 9:00 a.m.,March 31,1965. Motion carried. A motion was made by Jantzer,second by Noel to accept the new 12 plex apt. plans for the apartment on the SE corner of Pine and Bigham and to be turned over to the City Council for approval. Motion carried. ' Mr. Roy Kelly presented a petition to operate a hone business at their home at 239 Cherry Street. (Concrete sculpture) A motion by Williams, second by Bruce to let Mr. Kelly operate an in home business with a restriction of Sign size (to City Code), and to turn this petition over to the City Council for approval. Motion carried. A plan was presented by Orth Miller of a sub-division to be annexed into the City. It is the West 2 of Lot 8, and the South 2 of the West 2 of Lot 9,in Amy Cottage Addition to the Town of Central Point., Jackson County, Oregon. It will be 20 or 22 lots. A few changes will have to be made on the plan before a plot will be accepted. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m. by Chairman Harry Tonn. Sec. Jantzer Public Hearing will be held April 27, 1965, on a multiplex on the corner of 4th & Ash, Mr. Hall presented the petition.
