PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING February 24, 1964
aThe meeting was. called to order at 8:00 by Chairman, Harry Tonn.
Members. present: Ayres, Tonn, Jantzer, Noel, and Williams.
The minutes of January 28, 1964 were read:?and approved.
The Public Hearing on the Whittle Sub-division was held at 8:00. There was no
objection to this sub-division so it was passed through the Planning Commission.
Tom Whittle brought to our attention that one of his lots (Lot.,l, Block 2) had
less than the required footage. The lots will have to be changed to correct
this before it should be accepted by the City.
A motion mady by Ayres and second by Noel that this sub-division be accepted
only after the footage in Lot 1, Block 2 is brought up to the minimum footage
and a plan for water and sewer including fireplugs be presented to the City.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Ayres, second by Noel, that we recommend that the City va-
cate and sell to Whittle the triangle of city property next to Lot 1, Block 2
of the Whittle Sub-division. Motion carried.
The Public Hearing was held on the ten-plex at Pine and Bigham. No one ob-
jected, so it was passed through the Planning Commission.
Myron Corcoran presented his plat for Unit No. 2 of his Central Valley Sub-
Division to be accepted by the City.
A. motion made by Noel, second by Ayres, that we have an on-site inspection of
. this unit with the city engineer at 10:00 A. M. , February 26, 1964, before any
further action is taken on the project. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Jantzer and second by Noel that we inspect the lot on the
northwest corner of Maple and Sixth that belongs to Norman Bruce at 10:00 A. M.,
-February 26, 1964, to see if a varience can be made on his lot for better place-
ment of his houses. Motion carried.
A report was made by the Sign Ordinance Committee (Chet Ayres) on the future
ordinance on signs. After much discussion it was tabled for further study by
the Sign Committee. Keith Williams volunteered to help Chet Ayres on the Sign
Committee.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 by Chairman, Harry Tonn.
